Westfalia Campers are probably the best known and best loved of all the VW Campers. Not only did they build the first campers on a VW base they also set the trend in design and specs that led the way for 50 years. This special edition of VW Camper and Commercial magazine documents and celebrates this highly admired Camper with 22 original condition buses fully featured and covering all generations from 1953 to the end of the T4 in 2003. The interior layouts and fitments for each model type is fully detailed including photographs and histories of current examples. Archive pictures and brochure illustrations are used to set the context. Feature buses from each model, including every year from 1959 to 69, are arranged chronologically, and clearly show the changes over time. No magazine has ever shown such a range before and many of the buses are rare or have rare features. Many of the feature buses have never been displayed and some have only surfaced recently. Inspired by the Westfalia display at Stanford Hall, organised by editor David Eccles, this special edition will be highly collectable and act as a definitive reference point as well as being of interest to all VW bus owners.
